OUR TRIP

Well, we started out on Monday going to Family Feud.(The girls enjoyed this one better than 5th grader) Our hands were tired of clapping, they taped 3 shows at a time. After lunch we went to Hollywood Strip to see The Walk of Fame the Hollywood Sign. We walked the street and that was very interesting, the town and the people were so dirty and very unfriendly. You know we went to New York last fall and we felt safer and the city was cleaner then Hollywood. I would loved to have seen this town back in the 50's it probably was totally different.

Tuesday, we went to Universal Studio that was the park and behind the scene tour. When we got there the first thing we did was the Haunted House it was walking through the house and people and things trying to scare you. Well I think Chris was the only one that saw the whole thing because Alissa's head was buried in his back I had one arm and Kristin had the other one. We screamed through the whole thing. Kristin was so funny a mummy started coming toward her and she started running it was so funny, Alissa is in the back yelling hurry now HURRY. We went to the Studio Tour and that was fun to see how things are done but mostly it was to see the sets. We saw the set for JAWS and it did come out of the water the whole tour screamed. After we leave Universal we went to Romonda Beach it is mostly a Fishing and shopping Dock so we walked that and found a place to eat fresh Fish and Shrimp it was so good. You don't know what fish and shrimp taste like until you have fresh Fish and Shrimp.

Wednesday, we went to Sony Studio Tour it was a walking tour and it was so interesting to really see how that they made movies. We got to see how that add sound to a movie when they tape they only record the voice that are the main part then after the whole movie is done that is when they add bird sounds or crashing sounds that was cool to see. This really changed the way you look at movies. After the tour and eating lunch we went back to Hollywood to take pictures of Hollywood Sign and see Rodeo Drive(that was crazy kind of money in that part of town) then went to see some of the Movie Stars homes. By that time we were ready to get out of the area and get back to the hotel because the traffic is the worst in the world I think. It is like a parking lot on the highway and every cross street, our GPS was a lifesaver but it was still crazy.

Thursday morning we woke up early and started back to Texas but this time we went to Grand Crayon and spent most of the day there. This was the second time for Chris and I to see it but first for the girls. Kristin had a blast because she would get on the edge to take pictures and I would almost have a heartache. What is so weird is I have not had a hard time with heights that is Chris but this was so scary to me.

We drove to New Mexico that night and Friday we spent most of the in New Mexico and drove to many hours from there. This is a very long drive back and alot of hours in the truck.

We got home safe and had a good time.

(I will post pictures soon)

IN CALIFORNIA

Well, we got into California about 6:00pm after checking into the hotel we went straight to the beach. It was so pretty and relaxing just to walk along the beach. The weather is kind of chilly in the 60's at night and then mid 80's in the day. It is so nice, Kristin is cold all the time she loves the hot weather.

We went to see ARE YOU SMARTER THEN A 5TH GRADER? today, they had the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on to win money for the USO. Some of the girls were a little dingy well really all of them. During break they ask for Fathers from the audience to do a stunt well we got Chris up there and they had to dance it was so funny. Chris did the water sprinkler dance, everyone in the audience started laughing. Jeff Foxworthy was watching and getting a kick out of it. After the show we went back to the beach and Chris and Alissa played in the COLD water and Kristin and I layout on the beach. This was a fun day.
