We took a road trip this year again, I guess our family enjoy them. As a kid that is all my parents every did, we would stop when ever we saw something we would like to see. If you know Chris he is schedule person has a list of things he would like us to see and do. This drives the girls and I crazy sometimes but this year it was a relax free fun trip.
We drove to Kansas one day and the next day drove into Keystone,South Dakota. It was the most beautiful drive just a strong green fields and just the most bluest creeks and rivers ever. When we got into town, we went to the Mount Rushmore,Crazy Horse Memorial, we even did a bobslide down the side of a mountain on a man made slide.
On our way back we went to the Badlands and I was not to excited about it but when we got there it was beautiful. We had so much fun just taking our time through the Badlands that day and then started our trip back home.
This trip is so worth the drive everyone needs to see this amazing part of the country.
So sorry that it has been so long.
I have been caught up with FB that I have stop posting. Well here I go I will try to get everyone caught up. I will do a post of just pictures to let ya'll see everything going on.
We had Kristin's 20th back in February and Chris and I's 21st Wedding Anniversary. We can't believe that we have a daughter of off her teenage years. It has been a hard road but it has been a pleasure raising her. She has gotten her degree for cosmetology now she is trying to get a job. Please pray for right fit. We did a Night Of Stars for our church and the youth did a great job and raised alot of money for a Mission Trip to Kentucky in March.
We did ended up going to Kentucky as planned and really saw some amazing things happen. I do pray that the youth saw how God has really blessed them and show and tell their parents that they are thankful for what they do have.
Now in April and we have been really busy with the youth group. We have gotten busy with house as a late and have redone the hall bathroom or should say finished the hall bathroom (Chris did the work). This past weekend we had to go Prom Dress showing that was a trip in its self. Alissa has decided to go with a group of friends but she waits until 2 weeks before Prom to say I want to go. Oh Well, we got a beautiful black dress, shoes and purse. I will be posting pictures of that day.
We have been blessed but we have had a crazy few months.

Well, Alissa turned 17 years old on Friday. If you know anything about Alissa, she loves birthdays. We have always wanted to give her a surprise party but she starts planning her party about 2 months ahead of time(so she makes it hard to surprise her)but we did it this year.
First she had her invitation done and she invited her friends but I went behind her back to her best friend and gave her invitation to the real PARTY. She said that she saw the invitations and she knew about it but she did not say anything to us about it. All her friends met at the house and we headed to a Karaoke Place that had private rooms to do your own party. Alissa was with Kristin and they went to get their nails done and hang out and then Kristin told her, she was taking her to a special restaurant and guess what we were there. She acted surprised and we all had a blast singing and eating and just had alot of fun.
Alissa, you are a special young lady that has amazing future. Just remember to keep God in your focus of your life. We love you and are proud of you.
14 months ago, Kristin started her dream of becoming a cosmetologists. Thursday, she did her final class and final walk. Now she will be getting her license in the next couple of weeks and starting to look for her job. Please be praying for her as she starts this next step. Kristin, we are so proud of you.
We did have a Blessed Christmas. Started out by taking Kristin to work at 6:30pm and Target closed at 7:00pm. YES, she was scheduled to work 30 minutes before closing the doors and was off by 7:25pm. Was a crazy 55 minutes of work, but someone had to do it. LOL. Then in the sleet and snow we headed to Garland for Christmas Eve dinner with my family. WE did not stay to late due to the weather and not knowing how the weather was going to turn. We got home safely and Kristin read the Christmas Story from the Bible and they open one of their gifts(Christmas PJ's).
The next morning we had our Christmas omelette's that Chris makes every year and opened gifts with Mammaw and watch The Scrooge Movie and just enjoyed our day with family.
